Maartin Allcock	Ex-Fairporter and a splendid multi-instrumentalist. Always busy and rightly so!!
Steve Ashley	One of the great talents of the British folk scene. Relatively quiet for several years, but renewed interest with the CD issues of his first album and a retrospective. New live CD available.
Les Barker	One of Britain’s finest professional lunatics. Poems, laughter and steam trains.
Phil Beer	Ridiculously talented multi-instrumentalist. One half of Show of Hands, he also tours with his band.
Joe Broughton	Fiddle player with the last line-up of the Albion Band and a musician, unicyclist and juggler extraordinaire!
Francis Cabrel	French singer / songwriter who has been around for a number of years. HUGE in France, he has written some terrific songs.
ColvinQuarmby	Utterly wonderful five piece featuring the mighty songwriting talent of Gerry Colvin. The live gigs are an experience not to be missed!
Johnny Coppin	Strongly associated with the Cotswolds and the West Country. A fine singer /songwriter and musical interpreter of poetry. Some of his most notable work includes collaborations with Laurie Lee.
Cross o’th Hand	Derby based acoustic four piece play contemporary, traditional and European music. They feature ex-Rattlers Sarah Matthews and John Adams.
Julian Dawson	Singer /songwriter who should be hugely famous! Well known to Fairporters and solid European fan base. Check out the sound files on Real Audio.
Kevin Dempsey	Ex-Dando Shaft & Whippersnapper, Kev is a fine singer & guitarist and long-time collaborator with Dave Swarbrick.
Sandy Denny	Without doubt, the finest female voice of her generation. Sadly missed.
Blair Dunlop	Ashley and Judy Dunlop’s son. Encouraged to take to the stage since a young age, he has now blossomed into a greatly admired singer, guitarist and actor. Check out the film clips.
Judy Dunlop	Fine female vocalist who first came to prominence as a dancer in Feet First. The featured voice on Channel 5’s 1999 programme “Xmas Files”.
Fairport Convention – their own domain	The original and the best. Regular Winter tour and CROPREDY!!
Fairport Convention Fan Site	LOADS of interesting stuff. Everything a fan site should be.
Fiddlers 3	Interesting family outfit from across “the pond”. Well worthwhile checking out.
Five Furious Fish	West Country high energy roots dance band playing original reggae, Cajun, zydeco and Celtic funk. Features Simon Swarbrick, Dave’s nephew.
The Joyce Gang	A mighty band from Exeter featuring the talents of Paul Downes, John Redmond and Dave McKeown. Absolutely phenomenal live!!
Steve Knightley	The singer / songwriter half of Show of Hands. “Vast, windswept voice” and grown-up lyrics.
Little Johnny England	Putting the Rock back into Folk/Rock and re-arranging DNA all over the country. Don’t miss them. Cecil Sharp meets Little Feat!!
Jez Lowe	Singer/songwriter from the Northeast with breathtaking, lyrical material.
Dave Mattacks	Ex-Fairport and just about every important session you care to name, where a drummer is required. Watch out for periodic jazz dates.
Iain Matthews	Official site for one of the original Fairports. Massive back catalogue of wonderful music and still going strong.
Simon Mayor & Hilary James	Mandolin madness from two of the UK’s finest exponents. The site also has links to their albums, tuition books and work with children. Highly recommended.
Brian McNeill	Ex-founding member of The Battlefield Band. His solo albums are literate masterpieces and his multi-instrumental virtuosity is unsurpassed.
Ralph McTell	Not just “Streets of London”!! Terrific guitarist, brilliant lyrics and a consistent performer of the highest quality.
Elaine Morgan	Fantastic vocalist, former lead singer with Rose Among Thorns and erstwhile collaborator with Ashley Hutchings.
Cath Mundy & Jay Turner	Excellent duo, based in Australia and the UK. Supported Fairport on the tour in 2004.
Old Glory	A Molly dance side from Suffolk. Truly remarkable in that every dance is a sepia print in motion. Worth a journey to see them.
Oysterband	One of the most well-known and respected bands to emerge from the British acoustic/rock scene. Their new official site is kept fully up to date with all the latest tours and information. Some music to download too…
Chris Parkinson	Musical collaborator with Martin and Norma, member of The House Band and a splendid exponent of squeezy things.
Ashley Reed	Highly gifted fiddler, ex-Albions and now linked with Celtic Orbis. Check out the website for more info.
Deb Sandland	The smoky voiced diva from the Phil Beer Band. New, developing site with photos, music etc.
Seven Champions	Renowned Molly dance side from Kent. Unusual in that they use an unaccompanied voice to dance to, as well as the more normal music. Their style has been copied by many, but they remain the outstanding practitioners.
Show of Hands	The best male duo on the circuit. Mighty songs and blistering musicianship.
Mike Silver	Recently featured on Radio 2. A fine singer/songwriter, highly regarded by fellow professionals. Tenderness and raw power in equal measure. “Miss him at your peril”.
Stackridge	Gloriously resurrected, yet again. Mutter Slater & Andy Davies back in harness and all’s right with the world. Welcome back Syracuse!! Some fab stuff on YouTube as well.
Saffron Summerfield	Well respected singer/songwriter with some much sought after back catalogue.
John Tams	Official site for “The great John Tams” (Charles Spencer – Daily Telegraph), web shopping included. Somercotes lad made good – enough said!
John Tams	Fan site put together and maintained by Jennifer Thorp.
Graeme Taylor	Wonderful guitarist. Ex-Albion Band and collaborator with many fine musicians.
Richard Thompson Official Site – Beesweb	Mr. Thompson’s own site with a regular diary, tour dates, song information, photographs and merchandise. Essential.
Steve Tilston	A fine singer / songwriter with a whole raft of great albums. His material has been well publicised by Fairport Convention in recent years and he continues to produce beautifully crafted songs.
Chris While & Julie Matthews	THE female duo. Ex-Albion lead singers, now firmly established in their own right. Great songs, great music and great fun.
Roger Wilson	Folk /acoustic musician who works solo and in collaborations, most notably with Chris Wood and Martin Carthy. Also a featured musician at The Royal National Theatre’s production of “The Mysteries”.
The Witchmen	The finest exponents of the “Other Dance” to come out of the Border tradition. Dark, pagan & very tribal. Featured at Sidmouth in 2002 and regulars at Whittlesey Straw Bear. They are FANTASTIC.
Alan Woolley	Updated website for the former lead singer with The Rattlers, now solo.

Dartford Folk Club	Still going strong after a quarter of a century. Good guest list, friendly people and plush venue.

The Half Moon, Putney	Legendary London music venue that went quiet for a long time but is now, very definitely, back in business. Check out their special charity event.
Iconic Music & Media	New agency representing e2K, Bob Fox, Steve Gibbons. Also booking out the “Fairport Supporters” tour featuring Bob Fox, Steve Tilston & Anna Ryder.
Jill Swarbrick	Dave Swarbrick’s wife is an excellent fine artist. Check out her paintings and order prints here.
The Ledge – Fairport Convention Official Fan Club	Run by Ian Burgess and featuring all things Fairport and Fairport related. Quarterly magazines and lots of information about the history and mysteries of the band.
The Living Tradition	Fine magazine published in Scotland but not in the least parochial. Well worth a read.
Multimap.com	Ideal for tracking down the location of venues and gigs. Type in a postcode, address or place name and find the location of anywhere in the country. Printer friendly, Ordnance Survey quality maps. Also aerial photographs of certain parts of the country.
Nettlebed Folk Club	One of the finest music clubs in the south of England. Located in the village of Nettlebed, Oxfordshire. Excellent guest list. Meets every Monday.
Peppery Productions	Peppery Productions is a non-profit making body that aims to bring the best in world music to Suffolk, at affordable prices.  Any surplus they make is used to keep ticket prices down.
The Ram Club	A splendid club located in Surrey. Run by Bob and Maggie Wood and featuring a fine list of guests. Youngs ale and good atmosphere.
SheetMusicPlus	An absolute must for sheet music. They have over 325,000 separate titles including, for example, 516 fiddle titles
South Yorkshire Folk	A very useful site featuring venues and gigs in the South Yorkshire, North Notts. And Derbyshire areas.
Sussex Folk Guide	Internet gig guide for folk music in Sussex and adjacent areas.
Topic Records	Possibly the oldest independent label in the world. Sound files, full catalogue, mail order service and much more. One of our favourites.
Tradmusic.com	New website devoted to Scottish, Irish and World music. Comprehensive reviews, gigs and artists’ information.
